New York April 2010

Postby jaco » Wed Jan 06, 2010 7:07 pm

Hello
I have a question to all New Yorkers :

I will be in New york from 5th untill 10th of April 2010.
What must I see in the Manhattan area concerning bonsai.
Is there an exhibition, great shop or any thing else I must go and see?

Thanks for your comments,
Jacques Graulus

I'd stay away from Manhattan Bonsai
Bonsai is an adventure, not the destination

Contact William Valavanis at internationalbonsai.com, he is from Rochester, NY which is north NY but he can tell you about bonsai in New York. The US NAtional Exhibit is in June, too bad your schedule misses that.

The one place to see bonsai in the metropolitan New York area is the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Besides a respectable bonsai collection, they have a very nice Japanese Garden to enjoy in early spring.
