New to bonsai

Hi im new to bonsai and am really excited to start a project rather soon.
I Live in arizona, so it gets really hot over here so i am going to start
wiht a Bougainvillea. However, i have no experience at all about this
art. Can you guys give me some comments or advice on how to start
this project? Such as the type of pot, soil, wiring i can use, and such things.

Your local library should have a some books on the subject you could check out. A good book should cover all the basics, and provide you with some good pictures of many different species. That's how I became inspired, and now I can't stop! Folks on this forum have posted some beautiful trees as well, and it is worth checking them out.
