pomegranite tree

Postby art rodriguez » Sat Sep 19, 2009 2:37 pm

here's a pic of my big pomegranite tree which i acquired from roy nagatoshi about 9 years ago.
it measures around 11 inches at the base and approx 30 inches tall.
i am developing the branches more and need to do some carving on some of the deadwood.

when i acquired this tree from roy nagatoshi in southern california it had 3 or 4 pomegranites.
but up here in the pacific northwest it has not set fruit at all but has flowered twice.
i think it has to do with the cool weather up here versus warmer mediterean type weather in southern califrnia.
i'm really happy it at least grows well up here.
